Taking Beef Organs Healed My Skin
A single thought of ingesting beef organs was repulsive to me. Why would I ever? There was NO way the benefits could outweigh the nasty flavors or the knowledge of what I would be taking in.
This was my reality until I truly learned about the benefits. For years I struggled with dry, peeling, and itchy skin. Only later finding out that I had Eczema. Nothing worked. I took all the vitamins, used all the creams (even the prescription ones), and still was left feeling defeated and physically uncomfortable every single day.
My skin was red, cracking, peeling, and even bloody at times from how many layers of skin were damaged in some areas. I was hopeless. I resigned myself to believing I would always be chronically applying moisturizers with no results.
Enter, beef organs.

Why I Started Using Them
In my early twenties, I found myself working full time in a chiropractic and functional medicine office. All of the staff and patients were consistently taking beef liver and beef organ supplements. I remembered back to a friend I had been following on Instagram for years who also promoted the benefits of beef liver. Through one person after another, I was hearing about the benefits every day.
I finally decided to give it a try, because one thing about me is that I will not miss a chance to be a part of something impactful. Per the recommendation from my doctor and some friends as well, I started taking six capsules a day.
Yes, SIX. The reasoning for this is because six capsules is the equivalent of about one ounce of beef liver daily. Beef liver is a superfood. You cannot “overdose” or take too much of it. When you take beef liver or beef organs, even in capsule form, all you are doing is flooding your body with dense nutrients. Anything that is excess or unneeded by the body will be flushed out.
Beef Liver vs. Beef Organs
I will not dive into too much detail here since they are so similar, and their uses are nearly the exact same. Though, I want to quickly mention the difference between supplements that are named as beef organs, compared to those marketed as beef liver. The primary difference is that beef liver is the only ingredient in the beef liver supplement. Whereas the beef organ supplement may contain other organs such as the heart, kidneys, etc. Both can be beneficial. However, I only feel it necessary to take the beef liver supplement.
Benefits of Beef Organs
This superfood is high in vitamin B and serves as an excellent source of iron. It contains so many vital nutrients that promote healthy hair, nails, and skin. As I mentioned, my skin was in survival mode. After I began taking beef liver consistently for a few weeks, I noticed repair in my skin. It was no longer flaring with red patches, dry skin, and all of the cracks healed. I made no other changes. I continued to take my normal supplements, including a probiotic, only changing my routine by adding in the beef liver.

What to Look For in a Good Beef Liver Supplement
If you, like me, have decided you want to give it a try…well…first, you should know you’ll never go back. The benefits you will see will far outweigh the craziness of realizing you are literally taking beef organs encapsulated. But don’t worry, it could always be more crazy! You could be taking it raw…or eating it cooked. It is a no for me; immediately no.
When looking for a quality beef liver or beef organ supplement, you want to find one that specifically processes the organ through the freeze drying method. Some people opt to take dehydrated beef organs, but the freeze dried version of processing the organs significantly protects the nutrient value more than the dehydration process.

For many years now I have shared my love and loyalty to beef liver with friends and family, who are now loyal consumers as well. People do look at me crazy when I tell them to try taking beef liver, but eventually they become faithful consumers as well because the benefits are plentiful.
